The European Union has introduced new Ecodesign regulations which involve the lighting sector too; the least energy efficient lamps will be gradually phased out starting from 01/09/2021.

All the relevant information for all the light sources on the market will be centralized on the EPREL database (EU Product Database for Energy Labeling), established with the dual purpose of being used by the supervisory authorities for market surveillance activities and making publicly available the list of compliant products.
